With a Management Buy-Out on the horizon, a UK-Based Bulk Chemical storage business, was going to lose access to business critical quality and procedural documents, that were contained within the legacy corporate system utilised by the parent company, they were migrating away from. A solution needed to be found in a tight timeframe, that was not only capable of migrating and storing these documents, it needed to operate in the new infrastructure and provide robust security, be easy to use and scalable for future needs.

A new core document management system was implemented, as the basis for customising and developing a bespoke and enhanced platform, that would provide the new business, with a much easier to use solution, that could also enable them to add functionality and workflows, as the business grew and needs arose.

IOS consulted with the business, to understand specific requirements and map out the processes and workflows, that these documents supported. The company took the opportunity to include everything they liked about the original system within the initial scope of works, whilst identifying areas to streamline and that they wished to improve.

This has since enabled other departments to take advantage of the technology and develop the system further to meet their own specific deaprtmental needs.

This has de-risked some of the challenges that the business had with document management across various teams and reduced workload within them, through automation of repetitive tasks.
