Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative

Job Overview

We are recruiting a Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative to support our busy warehouse and customer delivery operation. This role is ideal for someone with delivery driving, warehouse, or driver’s mate experience who enjoys a varied, hands‑on role.

You will be responsible for picking and packing orders, loading and unloading vehicles, and delivering goods to customers in a professional and friendly manner. Experience with flat pack furniture assembly or handyman skills is highly desirable.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Warehouse Operative Duties

  • Picking and packing customer orders accurately
  • Sorting and organising warehouse stock
  • Preparing goods safely for delivery
  • Maintaining a clean, organised warehouse area

Delivery Driver Responsibilities

  • Driving a company delivery van safely and efficiently
  • Loading and unloading heavy items
  • Completing local deliveries to residential and commercial customers
  • Following delivery routes and schedules
  • Completing delivery paperwork and records
  • Providing excellent customer service

Additional Skills (Desirable)

  • Flat pack furniture assembly experience
  • Basic DIY or handyman skills
  • Confident using hand tools
  • Practical, problem‑solving attitude

Skills & Experience Required

  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Previous experience as a Delivery Driver, Van Driver, Warehouse Operative, or Driver’s Mate preferred
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items safely
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Flexible and willing to assist across multiple areas of the business
